On behalf the 2025 Nominations Committee, we are pleased to announce the following slate of candidates for the 2025 Board of Directors, to be voted on by ACA members in advance of the 2025 virtual AGM (Thursday, June 19, 2025).

Please see ACA Bylaw #1 and the Nominations and Elections Policy for additional information.

All voting members will receive an online ballot via email. Institutional Members should ensure that their designated is clearly identified within their member profile with accurate contact information. If you need support entering your institutional delegate name or updating your membership profile, please reach out to the ACA Office. Updates will be accepted until end of day, June 10, 2025.

Vice President (two candidates - one position)

Angela Fornelli, City of Kawartha Lakes

Angela Fornelli the Manager, Corporate Records and Archival Services / Municipal Archivist for the City of Kawartha Lakes. She received her Master of Archives and Records Management from the University of Dundee and has worked across Canada in Alberta, the Yukon, Saskatchewan and now Ontario. Angela has been a member of ACA since 2008 and has previously sat on the Membership Committee and was co-chair for the Strategic Plan Working Group. She is currently the co-chair of the Municipal Archives Special Interest Section and is on the Board of Directors as Vice-President. Through this role Angela is the board liaison to the Governance Committee and the Records Management Working Group and is co-liaison with the Board Treasurer to he Conference Planning Committee. Outside of the ACA, Angela is the Treasurer of the Toronto and Area Archives Group, a sub-group of the Archives Association of Ontario where she also sits on the Professional Development Committee and the Students and New Professionals Committee. As part of her work on the ACA Board, Angela co-leads the Community of Interest for the Library and Archives Canada Stakeholders. 


Patti Harper, Carleton University

Patti Harper has more than 2 decades of archival experience, with Carleton University and Library and Archives Canada (LAC). In the early years, she assisted with rolling out the Rules for Archival Description (RAD) at LAC. At Carleton, she began in the Corporate Archives, and worked briefly as the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Assistant. She joined the MacOdrum Library in 2008 as the Head of Archives and Research Collections, then moved to take on the role of Head of Research Support Services in 2017, and Assistant University Librarian in 2023. She was one of the founders of the Book Arts Lab at the Library, and in 2025 returns from sabbatical to the archives at MacOdrum Library and as coordinator of the lab. Patti has presented on many archival topics including student engagement, social media, research collaboration, and experiential learning. She was a member of the Spencerville Mill Museum Board of Governors (2014-2020) and began her involvement with the ACA early in her career. Becoming a member as a new professional, provided the opportunity to build relationships with many individuals that have mentored her and impacted her career. She was a member, newsletter editor, and Chair of UCASIS, Secretary for the Board of Directors (2016-2018), and this year has proudly served as Chair of the Program Committee for the 50th Anniversary of the Association. Patti holds an BA History (Queen’s), MA in Public History (Carleton), and a Master Information Studies (Ottawa).

Alexandra Mills, Concordia University

Alexandra Mills (she/her) is the Head, Special Collections and Archives, at Concordia University Library, located on the unceded Indigenous lands of the Kanien’kehá:ka Nation in Tiohtiá:ke/Montreal. She holds a Master of Library and Information Studies, with a specialization in archives, from the School of Information Studies at McGill University (2013) and a Master of Arts in art history from Concordia University (2010). Alexandra served on the Association of Canadian Archivists (ACA) Professional Development from 2017 to 2021 and on the Governance Committee between 2022 and 2024. Currently, Alexandra is the Secretary of the ACA Board of Directors and the Board Liaison to the Membership Committee. She began her term on the Board in July 2023.



Director-at-Large 2(one candidate)

Amanda Oliver, Wilfrid Laurier University 

Amanda Oliver (she/her) is the Head, Archives and Special Collections at Wilfrid Laurier University, located on the shared traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishnaabe, and Haudenosaunee peoples. She holds a Master of Library and Information Science, with a concentration in archives, from McGill University and a Master of Arts in Preventive Conservation from Northumbia University. Amanda currently serves as Director at Large 2 with the Association of Canadian Archivists’ Board of Directors. In this role, she is the liaison to the Professional Development Committee and the chair of the Professional Competencies for Archivists Working Group.
